The hotel is approximately 17km west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1989, the modern low rise Hotel Gala has a total of 308 guest rooms, including 204 twin rooms and a further 104 "Club Alexandre" Suites, which are built over 3 floors, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean towards the nearby island of La Gomera.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, "Club Alexandre" Suites also offers guests the use of bathrobes and slippers during the stay, along with daily entrance to the Spa Circuit, and all guest rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access in selected areas of the hotel, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Gala also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual equipment including ADSL internet access.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities include a Health and Beauty Centre, which features a hairdresser, sauna and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering guests the opportunity to relax and unwind with a variety of rejuvenating and anti-cellulite treatments including, lymphatic draining, peeling and ozone vapor.

The Hotel Gala also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment, with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
