Part of the prestigious Riu Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife has an enviable front line location overlooking the sea front promenade and Playa del Duque beach, in the popular resort of La Caleta on the south west coast of Tenerife. The hotel is approximately 25km west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and 500 metres from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1998, the modern low rise Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife has a total of 296 guest rooms, offering a choice of both standard twin rooms and Suites, which are built over 6 floors, and set amidst almost 21,000m2 of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean towards the nearby island of La Gomera.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Suites at the Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife also have a separate living room with additional satellite television, along with a bathroom with complimentary bathrobes and dressing room, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 2 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, along with a further smaller children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground, along with two floodlit hard surface tennis courts, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the "Body Love" Health and Beauty Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as a beauty salon with hairdresser.

The Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment, with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
