Part of the Playa Senator Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Playacanaria is situated in the El Durazno district of the popular resort of Puerto de la Cruz on the north West Coast of Tenerife. The hotel is approximately 28km west of the Los Rodeos International Airport, and 2km from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the modern Hotel Playacanaria has a total of 248 guest rooms, including 219 standard twin rooms, 20 singles and a further 9 Junior Suites, which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst almost 15,000m² of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Junior Suites at the Hotel Playacanaria also have a spacious lounge with direct access to the pool area, and all guest rooms at the hotel are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Playacanaria also offers the use of 2 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 175 people, both of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a mini golf course, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Playacanaria, also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the magnificent "Acquaplaya" Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a "thermal circuit", as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.

The Hotel Playacanaria also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
