Part of the Spring Group of hotels, the modern 4 star Hotel Playa la Arena is situated approximately 100 metres from the natural black sandy beach of Playa la Arena, and 1km from the centre of Los Gigantes and the impressive cliffs of Acantilados de los Gigantes.

Built in 2000, the Hotel Playa la Arena has a total of 432 guest rooms that are built over 6 floors. All rooms at the hotel are air conditioned, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hair dryer, satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, and either a terrace or balcony many of which have sea views.

Guest facilities include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with an air conditioned buffet restaurant and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities on the complex include a choice of 2 fresh water swimming pools with sun terraces, loungers and parasols along with a separate children's pool with a short water slide.
