Built in 1969 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern Hotel Orotava has a total of 225 guest rooms, including 216 standard twin rooms and a further 9 Suites, which feature a lounge area, a bathroom with hydro-massage and terrace with Jacuzzi, all of which are built over 12 floors, and set amidst spacious sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, 4 guest rooms at the Hotel Orotava have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Orotava also offers the use of 5 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 200 people, all of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with an integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a cardiovascular gymnasium with Turkish Bath and sauna.

The Hotel Orotava also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment, with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
