Part of the Catalonia Group of hotels, the 3 star rated Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro is situated around 500 metres from the sea front promenade and Playa de Troya beach, in the lively resort of Playa de las Americas on the south coast of Tenerife.

The hotel is approximately 17km west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1977 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015 the modern Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro has a total of 269 guest rooms, which are built over 11 floors and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hiardryer, along with a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, Premium Rooms at the Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro also offer guests the use of bathrobes and slippers during their stay, along with both fruit and water on arrival, tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar and complimentary safe.

The Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
