The 3 star Hotel Columbus is situated around 800 metres from the sea front promenade and Playa de Troya beach, in the lively resort of Playa de las Americas on the south coast of Tenerife. The hotel is approximately 17km west of the Reina Sofia International Airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

The modern Hotel Columbus has a total of 476 one bedroom apartments and studio flats, which are distributed between 2 six storey buildings, and set amidst spacious sun terraces around a large central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings, refrigerator and kettle, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, pay per view satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a further rooftop sun terrace with 2 Jacuzzis, along with an aerobics centre with cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna and Jacuzzi.

The Hotel Columbus also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
